Initiating the concept of Commander of the Army, Lt Gen RMD Rathnayake WWV RWP RSP USP ndu psc the $$Healthy Army Healthy Nation$$ program for Eastern theater was launched at the Security Forces Headquarters (East) at 0900 hrs on 14 Nov 2014. A introductory lecture was delivered by Brigadier Dr. A.S.M. Wijewardane (Consultant Physician) on the importance of having healthy life.

221 Brigade located at Thopoor under 22 Division in Security Forces (East) organized a “Musical Extravaganza” at 6 SLAC grounds Pankulama on 11th Nov 2014. GOC 22 Div as the chief guest, 221 Bde commander, CO 6 VIR, CSD force comd Morawewa, CO SLAF Camp Morawewa and several other officers and other rankers were participated for the event. (No of Troops participated 500)

12th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery located at Thoppigala under the 232 Brigade of 23 Division in the AOR of Security Forces (East) conducted a "Shramadana campaign" to clean the premises of Dimbulagala Damminna School on 14th Nov 2014. (Troops participated 01 x 10)

23rd Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment located at Pothuvilunder the 242 Brigade of 24 Division in the AOR of Security Forces (East), Conducted a seminar for Grade 11 students of Ulla Sinsha Pura Sinhala School, prior to GCE O/L examination on 14th November 2014 from 0900 hrs To 1200 hrs (Troops participated 00 x 03)

24 Division in the AOR of Security Forces (East) Organized a education Trip to Trincomalee for the students of AM/Gamini school and Akkarepaththuwa Thirukkowel Vinayagar Tamil School on 15th and 16th November 2014. Students given a opportunity to visit Kinniya Bridge, Marble Beach, Koneswaram Kovil, Gokarna Temple, Hot water wells Kinniya, Navel Museum, Girihaduseya Thiriyaya and Nilaveli Beach. 08 Teachers from both schools and 47 students were participated for the trip.

2nd The Gajaba Regiment placed under the 221 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Force Headquarters (East), Organized a "Shramadana campaign" to clean the premises of Glennie Girls Home in Trincomalee on 17th Nov 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 06)

A donation campaign was held on 15th Nov 2014 at Pancha Maha Viharaya Punani in order to provide Rs.25000 worth dry ration packs for 25 rural Temples in the area and to provide spectacles for 200 visually disordered persons. The Donation campaign was organized by Kithulgama Hemasara Thero at Vivekarama Temple Mirihana. Senior officers of HQ 23 Div and several other were participated for the event.

6th Regiment, Sri Lanka Armoured Corps located at Gomarankadawala under the 221 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East), organized a Blood donation campaign at Gomarankadawala Hospital on 11 th Nov 2014. (Troops participated 04 x 50)

27th Sri Lanka National Guard located at Ichchalanpattu under the 222 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Forces (East), distributed drinking water among families at Ilangathurei village in Trincomalee on 17th November 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 03)

2nd Bn the Gajaba Regiment placed under the 221 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Force Headquarters (East), organized a “Shramadana" campaign to clean the premises of Grama Niladhari office Sivapuri in Trincomalee on 19 November 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 06)
