6th Vijayabahu Regiment located at Thiriyaya under the 221 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East), organized a "Shramadhana Campaign" to renovate the floor area of kitchen under construction at Vivekananda school in Kuchchiweli on 23rd October 2014 (Troops participated 00 x 06)

3 rd Sri Lanka National Guard placed under the 233 Brigade of 23 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East) distributed (1464 bottles x 5 ltr) drinking Water bottles to the 366 x Families who were affected from the prevailing drought at Pudur DS Area in Koraleipaththu North on 25th Oct 2014. (Troops participated 04 x 15)

28th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard placed under the 241 Brigade of 24 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East), Organized a Dengue Prevention Campaign to clean the premises of Base Hospital at Akkarapaththu on 24th October 2014. (Troops participated 01 x10)

12th Gajaba Regiment placed under the 231 Brigade of 23 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East), organized an awareness lecture on “Traffic accidents” to the students of Barathi Vidyalaya at Manchentuduwa. The lecture was delivered by an officer of Traffic branch at Kaththankudi police station. Several army officials and teachers of the school were participated in the progrmme. (Troops participated 01 x 06)

242 Brigade of 24 Division in the AOR of Security Force Headquarters (East), organizd an Eye Clinic for 319 x students of the schools in Ampara area on 20 to 24 Oct 2014 With the assistance of Nandadasa Kodogoda Foundation, Dharama Vijaya Foundation and AHH-(A Helping Hand).The Eye clinic was conducted by Dr.Nalin Gunasinghe. (Troops participated 02 x15)

24 Division in the AOR of Security Force Headquarters (East), had a discussion with Muslim Religious leaders in the Ampara area on 26 Oct 2014 to develop the religious reconciliation. Goc 24 Division alone with Several military and civil officials were made their presence on this occasion.
