3rd Sri Lanka National Guard located in Panichchankarni under 233 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Force (East) provided lunch for the “Children’s Orphanage” at Tikkana village in Koraleipattu North - Vakarei area on 02nd Oct 2014.(Troops participated 01 x 10)

12th Gajaba Regiment located under 231 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Force (East) donated school books for 25 x children at Nawathkuda Nawalar Preschool in Manmunei North DS area on 02nd Oct 2014.(Troops participated 01 x 10)

22nd Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment located in Kallar under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Force (East) distributed drinking water for Saraswathi Vidyalaya at Lingapuram village on 02nd Oct 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 03)

6th Sri Lanka Armoured Corps located in Morawewa under 221 Bde of 22 Division in Security Force (East) area, organized a Cricket tournament with civilians at Gomarankadawala play ground on 04th October 2014 (Troops participated 01 x 06)

6th Sri Lanka Vijayabahu Regiment located in Thiriyaya under 221 Brigade under of 22 Div in Security Force (East) area, organized a “Shramadhana Campaign” to clean the surrounding of Nallur Pre Shool in Kuchchaweli on 07th October 2014.

23rd Sri Lanka Singha Regiment located under 242 Bde of 24 Division in Security Force (East) organized a “shramadana”campaign to clean the surrounding of Kiriwehera Temple in Lahugala on 06th October 2014(Troops participated 00 x 15)

233 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Force (East) organized a meritorious event at Somawathie Stupa premises to get its blessings for the president and forces and conducted a donation of 5700 x exercise books among the children on 01st and 02nd October 2014 with the sponsorship of Mrs. Dammika Gunarathna.

Security Force Headquarters (East) celebrated the vap pura pasaloswaka poya along with a Sil observing, Damma Discussion,an Alms Giving and a Bodhi Pooja Programmes on 08th October 2014 at Security Force Headquarters (East) Walikanda. Officers and soldiers who are serving in Security Force (East) participated for the events.

2nd Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps located in Welikanda under Security Force Headquarters (East) conducted a “shramadana” campaign to clear the surrounding of Ayurvedic Hospital,Welikanda to commemorate the 65th Army Anniversary on 9th October 2014. ( Troops participated 02 X 30 )
