The ‘Sammabimani’ Religious programme, of Ven Uduwe Dhammaloka Thero organized by the Directorate of Psychological Operations in order to promote moral development of the general public, was held at Prathiba Hall, Manampitiya in Polonnaruwa on 09th December 2014 with the direction of Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG, Comd SF East. Brig DDUK Hettiarachchi RSP USP psc, General Officer Commanding, 23 Division attended the occasion together with Senior officers, officers and troops Around 1000 devotees participated for the religious programme.

233 Brigade of 23 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East) Distributed 1000 Cashew Nut Plants Sponsored by the Dilmah (Pvt) Limited, among the people in Vakarai area on 13th Dec 2014. Officials of Divisional Secretariat Koralepaththu (North), Staff Officers of 23 Div, CO 9 GW and CO 3 SLNG were participated for the occasion. (Troops participated 10 x 25)

22nd Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment located at Serunuwara under the 222 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East) distributed school amenities for 500 x student, dry ration packs for 100 x pregnant mothers, wheel chairs for 02 x disabled Civilians and dairy cattles for 10 x families in Trincomalee area on 14thDec 2014. The Said event was sponsored by the Galigamuwe Chanadepa Throes. (Troops participated 06 x 50)

8th Sri Lanka National Guard located under the 232 Brigade in 23 Division AOR of Security Force (East) has Provided assistance to Successfully Conducting the holly mass at Roman catholic church in Koralepaththu on 15th December 2014.(Troops Participated: 01 x 07 )

12th Bn the Gajaba Regiment Located at Batticaloa under 231 Brigade of 23 Division AOR of security force (East) organized a Christmas concert with a view to build up the relationship between Burger community and Army personnel in Manmunei area The concert was held at the Prednal Hall-Manmunei North on 15 December 2014 with the participation of Burger school children. After the concert school amenities were donated to the children by 12th Bn The Gajaba Regiment. Several Army Officers and ORs of 12 GR also participated for the occasion. (Troops Participated 03 x 20)
