233 Brigade under the 23 Division in Security Force (East) conducted a Water distributing event with the direction of Commander Security Force (East) Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG on 14 Aug 2014 with the Sponsorship of Buddhist Channel and Sambodhi Viharaya – Colombo in order to distribute water storing tanks and water bottles among the 430 families who were deadly affected by prevailing drought in Koraleipattu North GS divisional area at Vakerai Maha Vidyalaya. Commander 233 Brigade and Senior Army Officers were Present on this Occasion.

BGS Security Force Headquarters (East) and Senior Army Officers were Present on this Occasion.

Buddhist Chanel and Sambodhi Viharaya - Colombo has distributed 224 numbers of 500 ltr water storing tanks and 4500 numbers of 5 ltr and 1500 numbers of 1 ltr water bottles among 4647 families who were deadly affected by prevailing drought in Higurakgoda and Madirigiriy DS divisional areas. This event presided by Chief Incumbent of Asgiri chapter and Daranagama Kusaladamma Throes at Jayathugama Sri Jayabimba Ramaya on 14 Aug 2014.

8 th Sri Lanka National Guard Battalion located in Periyawdduwan under the 232 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area provided Man Power assistance for painting Periyawdduwan Kovil on 11th Aug 2014.

27th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Periyawadduwan under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed Drinking Water for 14 x Families who were affected by the prevailing drought at Ichchalanpattu Village in Trincomalee on 14th Aug 2014.

27th Regiment Sri Lanka National Guard located in Ichchalampaththu under the 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area Organized a Dengue Prevention Campaign to clear the surrounding of Ichchalanpattu Village on 14th Aug 2014 with the participation of General Publicin the area.

27th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Ichchalanpaththu under the 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed Drinking Water for who were affected by the prevailing drought at Ilangathurei Village on 15th Aug 2014.

222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed Drinking Water (4000 numbers of 5ltr bottles and 1000 numbers of 1ltr bottles) for 1526x Families who were affected from the drought in Medirigiriya and Hingurakgoda DS Areas at Abayapura, Tissapura , kadamulla , Nawa Nagaraya Villages on 15th Aug 2014 with the Sponsorship of Hikgoda Rohitha thero of Paladawa purana viharaya and Kiribathkubura yati Nuwara Viharaya .

8th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery located at Minneriya under the 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed Drinking Water (140 number of canes of 20 ltr) to affected People due to prevailing drought at Kudapatugama Village in Lankapura on 16th Aug 2014.

27th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Ichalanpathu under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area distributed dry ration packs for pregnant women and Children in Somawathiya Nawa Gammanaya area on on 18th Aug 2014.
