RENOVATION OF MONASTERY AT NEELAPOLA RAJA MAHA VIHARAYA WITH MORDEN AMENITIES

After the renovation of Monastery with Modern Amenities at Neelapola Raja Maha Viharaya in Seruwila DS Division in 224 Bde area was declared opened on 30 Aug 2014 with the blessing of Sathdarma Keerthi Sri Tripitakacharya Venerable Diviyagaha Yassasi thero and other reverend theros. Governor of Eastern Province Rear Admiral Mohan Jayawickrama along with Commander Security Force (East) Maj Gen Lal Perera and other senior officers were present in this meritorious deed.

ENGLISH COURSE NO 02 CONDUCTED FOR OFFICERS WAS TERMINATED

English Course No 02 conducted for Officers in Security Forces (East) area, at the Security Forces Headquarters (East), with the directions of Commander Security Forces (East) Major General SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG, was terminated on 30th August 2014. The Closing Address was delivered by Commander Security Forces (East) Major General SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG. English Course was conducted for 45 x working days with an aim to develop the English Knowledge of officers serving under Security Forces (East) area.

CERAMONY OF LAYING FOUNDATION STONE FOR DANA SHALAWA AT PASHANA PABBATHA TEMPLE

27th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Ichalanpathu under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) conducted a ceremony of Laying foundation stone for Dana Shalawa at Pashana Pabbatha Temple in Anativu GS divitional area on 01 Sep 2014. The event was presided by Venerable Ellawala Medananda Thero (Member of Parliament) with the participation of military and civil officials. (Troops participated 01 x 10)

CEREMONY OF LAYING FOUNDATION STONES FOR NEW HOUSES IN SAMPOOR

On 01st Sep 2014 224 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) conducted a ceremony of Laying foundation stone to 50 x houses for IDPs in sampoor who are now temporally provided accommodation in Kiliveddy, Manalchenai and Pattitidal welfare centers. Mr S Arulrasa Addl DS Trincomalee, Mr N Predeepan DS Muthur and Commander 224 Bde alone with military and civil officials were presents on this occasion (Troops participated 06 x 25)
