Dedication and hard work of the Direct Enlisted lady and gentleman Probationary Officers of Intake DE 2 - 2024 came to a success with the completion of three months Military Orientation Package which has been designed including the subject areas such as Drill, Weapons Training, Tactics, Regimental Accounts, Service Writing, Methods of Instruction, Leadership, Military Law and Administration.
In par with their fall out ceremony, a series of events were held including OC’s Cocktail, Final Presentation on the topic “Sustainable Strategy to Enhance Current Affairs Knowledge of Sri Lanka Army Officers to Excel in Promotion Examinations”, Commanding Officer’s Dinner Night and Certificate Awarding Ceremony.
On 23 October 2024, their fallout ceremony was conducted with the participation of their beloved parents and relatives at the Sino-Lanka Friendship Auditorium where they were adorned with white epaulettes, symbolizing their probationary period of officering. The event was graced by the Commandant of the SLMA, Major General ULJS Perera RSP USP psc and he expressed his heartiest wished to the newly promoted probationary officers on this occasion, highlighting the special role that they are expected to play as professionals to provide the quality service for the SL Army. Upon their Fallout from the SLMA, these 18 Probationary Officers will be attached to several regiments of the SL Army such as Sri Lanka Engineers, Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Military Intelligence Corps, Corps of Engineer Services, Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps and Corps of Agriculture and Livestock to provide their professional service in multidisciplinary fields.
