The troops of 10(V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment provided a nutritious lunch for the children of the Ilampirai Preschool, Waththirayan on 29 August 2024.

The Chief Kurukkal of the Kandasami Kovil in Kilinochchi made a request from the General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division for cleaning and beautifying the Kovil premises before beginning of the month long festival.

As per the direction and guidance of Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) a medical clinic was conducted for the children of Selwapuram and Yogapuram villages at the CIMIC Park of 51 Infantry Division on 26 August 2024.

The "CIMIC Park Kilinochchi," an initiative by the 55 Infantry Division, was officially inaugurated on 25 August 2024 by Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, the Commander of the Army together with Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit. This facility was established to address the educational needs of the Kilinochchi community, providing vital resources and support to local students and educational institutions.

Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army, graced the second league of the Palmyra Club Challenge Trophy Cricket Encounter as the Chief Guest on 24 August 2024 at the Central College Ground in Jaffna. The event, coordinated by Security Forces (Jaffna) in collaboration with the District Secretaries of Jaffna and Kilinochchi, aimed to foster camaraderie in the community.

Dharmaraja College, Kandy and Hindu College, Jaffna held an event “A – 9 Fusion Cultural and Sports Collaboration” at Hindu College, Jaffna premises on Friday, 23 August with an aim of broadening friendship and mutual understanding.
