Illuminating Jaffna and Northern Province to the world, the 20th General Conference of the World Buddhist Sangha Youth was held at Nagadeepaya Rajamaha Viharaya in Nainativu Island on 22 June and the 5th General Conference of the World Alliance of Buddhist was held at Valampuri Hotel in Jaffna on 23 June 2024.

The first leg of the Palmyra Challenge Trophy Cricket Encounter between Jaffna Geniuses Vs Kilinochchi Geniuses took place at the Central College Ground in Kilinochchi on 23 June 2024. This event was organized in order to mark the 28th Anniversary of Headquarters, Security Forces (Jaffna) with the involvement of the District Secretary of Jaffna and the District Secretary ofKilinochchi. The aim of the event was to promote a sense of comradeship within the community.

Troops of 11 Field Engineer Regiment provided a lunch for the children of Lakdaru Pre-school at Nawatkuli, under the supervision of the Commanding Officer Lt Col KGCK Kudagamage SLE on 14 June 2024. Teachers of Lakdaru Pre-school and the parents appreciated and extended their gratitude to the Sri Lanka Army.
Troops of 4 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment conducted a cleaning programme at Bhadrakali Amman Kovil, Nellandai in J/404 Thumpalei GN Division on 13 June 2024. The programme was organized under the guidance of General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division and the Commander, 521 Infantry Brigade with the aim of assisting civil community. The Chief Priest and people of the area appreciated and paid their gratitude towards the Sri Lanka army.
