To strengthen the relationship with people in the area and as the corporate social responsibility 11 VIR organized food parcels distribution of programme for low income families living near the Selvasannadi Kovil – Thondamannaru on 08 July 2024. This event was highly appreciated by the people in the area.

33 patients of the Thalaseemia Unit of General Hospital, Anuradhapura visited Security Forces (Jaffna) on 6th and 7th July 2024. The patients were accompanied by Dr.Hendawitharana and Staff Officers of the Headquarters, Security Forces (Jaffna) warmly welcomed them at the Railway Station of Kankesanthurai.

In order to promote reconciliation and harmony among the people in Killinochchi area, 55 Infantry Division organized a free food distribution on charitable purposes “Dansala” in front of Headquarters, 55 Infantry Division on 21 June 2024.

Illuminating Jaffna and Northern Province to the world, the 20th General Conference of the World Buddhist Sangha Youth was held at Nagadeepaya Rajamaha Viharaya in Nainativu Island on 22 June and the 5th General Conference of the World Alliance of Buddhist was held at Valampuri Hotel in Jaffna on 23 June 2024.

In conjunction with Poson festival, 10th(V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment organizeda “Rice Dansela” for the civilian community living in Maradankeni, J/428 Maradankeni Gramasewa Division.

In celebration of the Poson festival, troops of the 11 th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment organized a ‘Bread with Sini Sambol ’ and ‘Plain Tea’ Dansela on 21 June 2024.
