In a refreshingly new multi-dimensional move to raise bonds of existing Civil-Military Cooperation to new heights, the 51 Infantry Division of the Security Forces (Jaffna) gifted its second exclusive ‘CIMIC Park’ for Sports (for play), Recreation (for leisure ) and Education (for explore) to the Palaly, Jaffna coastal belt and surrounding suburb civilian community during a brief ceremony on 07 June 2024. Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), graced the inaugural ceremony as the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest was warmly welcomed by the Major General WBJK Wimalaratne RWP RSP, the General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division.

522 Infantry Brigade organized a “Cool Drink Dansala” at Kadeikadu coincide with the Vesak Celebration under the guidance of Commander 522 Infantry Brigade and the staff of the Brigade. A large number of civilians participated at the event.

The 23rd Gemunu Watch organized “Buns and Drink Dansala” on 24.05.2024 coincide with Vesak Festival at Muhamalei under the guidance of Commanding Officer 23rd Gemunu watch, Commander 522 Infantry Brigade and the GOC 52 Infantry Division. A large number of civilians participated at the event.

The 52 Infantry Division organized the Vesak Festival at Mirisuvil in front of the Divisional Headquarter and Samiddhi Sumana Viharaya - Navatkuli from 23 to 26 May 2024 under guidence of General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division, Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc.

55 Infantry Division troops organized a series of religious ceremonies to mark the Vesak Festival 2024 under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division, Major General R.K.N.C Jayawardene RSP ndc on 23 and 24 of May.

51 Infantry Division organized the Annual Vesak commemoration with the guidance of Commander Security Forces - Jaffna centralizing Sri Naga Viharaya Temple on Vesak Poya day 23rd May 2024.

521 Infantry Brigade arranged a Roti & Tea Dansela (free giveaway) in front of the Brigade Headquarters at Point Pedro distributing Roti and Tea for local civilians on 23 May 2024.

Troops of the 11 Field Sri Lanka Engineers, laid the foundation stone for a new house for a needy family in Nunavil on 22 May 2024. The initiative, conducted under the guidance of Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division and supervision of the Commander 523 Infantry Brigade Col SMCAS Samarathunga RSP.

With the aim of fostering unity and goodwill among the youth in Killinochchi District, the 55 infantry Division organized a Football Tournament from 14 and 17 May 2024. The culmination of this event took place on Friday (17 May) at the Sports Complex Killinochchi.

55 Infantry Division, in collaboration with District General Hospital Killinochchi, organized a blood donation campaign at the Office of the Regional Director of Health Services - Killinochchi on 17 May 2024 in line with the Vesak festival. This initiative conducted under the guidance of Major General RKNC Jayawardene RSP ndc, the General Officer Commanding the 55 Infantry Division, was aimed at addressing the urgent blood needs of Killinochchi District General Hospital Blood Bank.
