Under the direction and guidance of Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), 51 Infantry Division in collaboration with Urumpirai, Jaffna Junior Football Academy conducted a football tournament at the playground of CIMIC Park, Headquarters, 51 Infantry Division, Kopay on 6th and 7th July 2024.
32 Junior Football teams of the Northern Province participated in the tournament and Major General WBJK Wimalarathna RWP RSP, the General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
All the arrangements for the tournament were facilitated by the 51 Infantry Division and 08 teams were selected for the second round that is to be held in due course. A large gathering participated to witness the tournament which included military personnel, villagers, parents, teachers and students.
