In line with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, the 52 Infantry Division organized a successful blood donation campaign on 8th October 2024. This noble initiative was carried out following the guidance of the Army Commander, with the specific direction of the Commander of Security Forces (Jaffna). The event was conducted under the supervision of Major General PR Pathiravithana USAWC psc, General Officer Commanding of the 52 Infantry Division.
A remarkable 156 officers and other ranks from the Division, including its under-command Brigades and Battalions, actively participated by donating blood. Their contribution symbolizes the Sri Lanka Army’s enduring commitment to community welfare and service beyond the battlefield.
The staff of the Blood Bank of the Teaching Hospital in Jaffna played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of the event, providing their expertise and support throughout the campaign.
