Under the guidance of Security Forces (Jaffna), 51 Infantry Division conducted its annual Christmas Carols Service at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Jaffna on 24 December 2024 in order to commemorate Christmas and the dawn of the New Year.
10th (V) Battalion, Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment organized a community care programme to distribute dry ration packs for 05 selected low-income families in J/433 Mulliyan GN Division on 23 December.
Showing great magnanimity towards the supply for life-supporting accessories, Mr. Ragikaran Shanmugarathnam, domiciled in Canada at the request of Brigadier EMLP Ekanayake USP, the Commander of 513 Infantry Brigade came forward to sponsor 50 Foot Bicycles to students, 25 Dry Ration packs for elderly women and 25 Nutritious packs for pregnant mothers of low-income group families in the Kirimalai, Jaffna.

Under the guidance and supervision of the General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division, Major General MPNA Muthumala USP psc, conducted a community relation programme to mark the dawn of Christmas – 2024 with the collaboration of Manusath Derana and Maliban Biscuit Manufactories (Pvt) Limited at the CIMIC Park premises of 51 Infantry Division on 12 December.
Under the direction of Major General PR Pathiravithana USAWC psc, the General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division, and the supervision of Brigadier WKSPMRAB Dodamwela psc, the Commander of 522 Infantry Bridge, troops of 1 MIR contributed to repair a road running from Aliaweli to Kottanda Kulam in Iyakkachchi area on 29 November 2024.
Troops of 10 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment provided assistance in an emergency situation where main bridge connecting Pudukkadu to Maradankeini on Point Pedro, Vettalaikerni road which was severely eroded in the basement and threatened to be washed away due to prevailing adverse weather condition.
