Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest to distribute school supplies worth of Rs. 308,000.00 to 46 students of GTM School, Kevil - Kaddeikadu, held on 04 January at the Maradankani Cultural Center.
The initiative was organized with the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna) and under the supervision of Major General PR Pathiravithana USAWC psc, the General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division, with the noble aim of developing the skills and learning activities of children studying in under developed schools in the Jaffna peninsula.
The event was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Miss. Nugawela and family together with the coordination of Major SH Sudhusinghe VIR, the Commanding Officer of 10th Battalion, Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment.
Mr. Kumaraswami Phiribakaramoorthi, the Divisional Secretary of Vadamarachchi, Brigadier WKSPMRAB Dodamwala psc, the Commander of 522 Infantry Brigade, Senior Military and Police Officers, Officers, Government Officials and Teachers of the School participated in the event.
