23 Gemunu Watch Troops Extend Support to Needy Families with Mattress and Coconut Plant Distribution

In a heartfelt initiative aimed at uplifting local communities, the troops of the 23 Gemunu Watch distributed 40 mattresses and 40 coconut plants to needy families at KN/Vembadikeny CCTM School on 2 March 2025. This benevolent effort was conducted under the vision of Major General Y.M.B.M. Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc.

Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna) Organized Clean Sri Lanka Programme

In line with the Clean Sri Lanka National Programme initiated by His Excellency the President to promote environmental sustainability across the island, the Security Force Headquarters, Jaffna, conducted a comprehensive coastal and road-cleaning campaign on 01 March 2025. The initiative covered a one-kilometre coastal strip from Palaly T Junction to Myladi, along with the adjacent land road.

55 Infantry Division Troops Assist in Beach Cleanup Program

In alignment with the "Clean Sri Lanka" National Programme, the District Secretariat of Kilinochchi spearheaded the "A Beautiful Coastal Line and Attractive Tourism Destination" Beach Cleanup Project at Poonaryn and Elephant Pass on 23 February 2025. The initiative aimed at promoting environmental conservation and boosting tourism, witnessed participation from multiple stakeholders.

Commander of Security Forces (Jaffna) Leads Beach Cleaning Programme as Part of ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ Initiative

As part of the ‘Clean Sri Lanka Programme’ a national effort launched under the vision of His Excellency the President, a large-scale beach cleaning event was organized by the 521 Infantry Brigade on 23rd February 2025. The initiative aimed to restore the natural beauty of Point Pedro Beach while promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. The event was conducted under the direction of Major General Manada Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander of Security Forces (Jaffna), with supervision by Major General VDS Perera, the General Officer Commanding of the 52 Infantry Division and Brigadier PSK Ranathungamage RSP psc the Commander of the 521 Infantry Brigade.

Military-Led School Cleaning and Repair Initiative at Sri Vigneswaram College, Poonaryn as Part of the "Clean Sri Lanka" Programme

Under the visionary leadership of Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander Security Force - Jaffna, and the guidance of Major General BGS Fernando USP Hdmc psc, General Officer Commanding, 55 Infantry Division, the first phase of the "Clean Sri Lanka" programme was successfully carried out at Sri Vigneswaram College, Poonaryn, on 20th February 2025.
