523 Brigade and 7th Battalion of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Lead Community Initiative at Siddhi Ayurveda Hospital

In a remarkable display of unity and harmony, the 7th Battalion of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (7 VIR) conducted a special community program in collaboration with hospital staff at Siddhi Ayurveda Hospital, Kaithadi Navakkuli, on 4th March 2025. This initiative underscored the strong bond between the Sri Lanka Army and Jaffna's civil society, highlighting the Army's commitment to fostering peace, cooperation, and community welfare. The event was conducted under the supervision of the Security Force Commander Jaffna and the guidance of the General Officer Commanding 52 Division.

Siddhi Ayurveda Hospital plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare services to the residents of the area. Recognizing the significance of maintaining a clean and orderly environment, the troops of 7 VIR, in collaboration with hospital staff, launched an extensive cleaning and beautification program. This initiative ensured that the hospital remained a welcoming and well-maintained space, benefiting both patients and healthcare professionals. The activity further strengthened the bond between the military and the local community, fostering mutual trust and cooperation.

This initiative by the 523 Brigade and 7 VIR reflects the Sri Lanka Army's unwavering commitment to national reconciliation and social harmony. By actively participating in community service and supporting key institutions such as the Siddhi Ayurveda Hospital, the Army reaffirms its role as a pillar of support for the people.
