As part of the ongoing housing project of the Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General WBJK Wimalaratne RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division handed over the key of a newly constructed house to the deserving family in Chankanai, Jaffna on 09 October 2024.
The General Officer Commanding vested the house in the beneficiary, to Mr. Selvarasa Sudhakaran and family amidst religious blessings. This new house was constructed by the troops of 11th Battalion, Sri Lanka Light Infantry under the guidance of Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division and supervision of Brigadier EMLP Ekanayake USP, Commander 513 Infantry Brigade with the generous contributions from the Divisional Secretariat Office, Walikamam West, and the philanthropists’ assistance of Mr. V Thabodharan.
This heartening initiative not only offers a new beginning for Mr. Selvarasa Sudhakaran and family but also serves as a glowing example of solidarity and support within the community.
