With the direction of Commander Security Forces East Major General SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG, the Basic Computer Course No 04 was commenced on 12th Aug 2014 at Headquarters Security Forces East Welikanda in association with Oriant Academy Limited for officers and clerks stationed at Security Forces East area. The course concluded on 06th Sep 2014 and the closing address was conducted by Brigadier KLAS Wijesinghe RWP RSP psc, the Brigadier General Staff - Security Forces East.

8th Gemunu Watch located at 231 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed Dry Ration Packets and 05 ltr Water Bottles for 122 x Families who were affected by the prevailing drought at Pulukunawa, Kachchikudi and Keviliyamadu GS divisional areas in Batticaloa District with the Sponsorship of 36 x Buddhist monks at Wariyapola,- Bamunuwakotuwa on 08th Sep 2014. (Troops participated 05 x 20)

2nd Gajaba Regiment located in Trincomalee under 221 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Force (East) Conducted a Shramadhana Campaign to clear the Surrounding of Jayasumanarama Temple in Trincomalee on 08th Sep 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 06)

5th Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment Located in Thopoor under 224 Brigade of 22 Division in Security force (East) Distributed refreshments (Tea and Biscuits) for children in Sunday School at Uthurugiri Temple in Muttur on 07 Sep 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 05)

2nd Gajaba Regiment located in Trincomalee under 221 Brigade of 22 Division in Security force (East) arranged a donation financially worth of RS: 5000.00 for three soldiers who are disabled during past war period on 05 Sep 2014 with the sponsorship of Capt (Retd) Ravi Pahalawatte. (Troops participated 00 x 06)

8th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery located at Minneriya under the 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Force (East) distributed dry ration packets and 5 Ltr Water Bottles ( 24 Nos ) for 775 x Families who were affected from the prevailing drought in Diyasenpura, Meegaswewa, Maharathmale, Pahalarathmale and Rotawewa DS Areas in Polonnaruwa on 08th Sep 2014 with the Sponsorship of “IBA CAMPUS” Industries and Business men in the area. (Troops participated 02 x 10).

6th Sri Lanka Vijayabahu Regiment located in Thiriyaya under 221 Brigade under of 22 Div in Security Force (East) Conducted a Shramadhana Campaign to clear the Surrounding of Kuburupiddi Rainbow Pre School in Trincomalee on 07 Sep 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 06)

22nd Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment located in Serunuwara under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Force (East) distributed drinking Water for 40 x Families who were affected by the prevailing drought at Ariyamakeni Village on 07 Sep 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 03)
