23rd Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment located in Komari under 242 Brigade of 24 Division in Security Forces (East) area, distributed Diner for devotees who were on a pilgrimage to Katharagama At Murugan Kovil in Pothuvill on 17 June 2014. The Chief incumbent of Muhudu Maha Vihara ,Pothuvil, Venarable Warakapola Indrasara Theoro also participated at the occasion.

24 Division in Security Forces (East) area organized a distribution of School Amnesties for Students who were Studying at Veheragala School in Ampara, on 18 May 2014. With the assistance of the Foundation of good hope in Colombo. Several Military and Civil Dignitaries were attend for the function.

With the direction of Commander Security Forces East Major General SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG, a Basic Computer Course - 02 which was commenced in association with Orient Academy Limited, for Clark who were stationed in Security Forces (East) area from 28th May 2014 at Security Forces Headquarters (East), Welikanda was concluded on 21st June 2014. The Closing Address was delivered by Brigadier KLAS Wijesinghe RWP RSP psc IG, Brigadier General Staff - Security Forces Headquarters (East).
