27th Regiment, Sri Lanka National Guard located in Ichchalampathu under the 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area Organized a "Shramadhana Campaign" to clear the surroundings of Karakamunai Public Well on 23th June 2014 with the participation of General Public in the area.

The Closing Ceremony of the Company Commanders Refresher Course No - 02 conducted by the Security Forces Headquarters(East) was held at Security Forces Headquarters(East) Welikanda on 05th June 2014. Brig AMR Dharmasiri psc, General Officer Commanding 22 Div grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Refresher Course conducted for 20 x working days along with several Indoor and Outdoor Exercises with an aim to develop the Knowledge and skills of Leadership, Staff Duties, Presentation.......ect of Company Commanders who are serving under Security Forces (East).

24 Division in Security Forces (East) Conducted an Eye Clinic on 05 July 2014 for 160 Nos of Civilians residing in Ampara area at HQ 24 Division with the assistance of Mrs Weerasooriya and her members who came from Colombo. This eye clinic was held from 0900 hrs to 1600 hrs.

First round of the interviews was held from 04 Apr 2014 to 30 June 2014 at 22, 23 & 24 Divs to recruit Sinhala, Tamil & Muslim youths in Polonnaruwa, Trincomalee, Batticaloa and Ampara districts who are unemployed and willing to serve their mother land. 426 youths have been enrolled under this.

24 Division in Security Forces (East) area, Conducted a Seminar for 195 Students, from Sinhala school and M/Mahakalugolla School under the lahugala and pothuvil GS division area who appear for the Year 5 scholarship Examination in the Year 2014 in Pothuvil area at Pothuvil Ulla Sinhapura Sinhala School Lecture hall on 04 July 2014.

8th Gemunu Watch located under 231 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area Distributed dry ration packets for 113 x poor families and School books for 30 x Students at Thumpalachcholai Village in Eravurpattu area on 03 July 2014

12th Gajaba Regiment Located in Batticaloa Under 231 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area, Provided Lunch for 40 x Children at Mencafe Children Orphanage in Thiraimadu, Manmunai area on 03 July 2014.

22 Division in Security Forces (East) area, Conducted a Blood Donation Programme at Trincomalee Hospital from 0900 hrs to 1600 hrs on 09 July 2014. Troops under command to 22 division participated for the event.

2nd Gajaba Regiment located in Trincomalee under the 221 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area Conducted a Two Days Lecture program in subjects of Science with the assistance of people$s leasing Company. 400 x Muslim Students of Trincomalee area, who are sitting for the GCE (A/L) Examination this Year at T/Vivekananda School, participated for the event from 0800 hrs to 1600 hrs on 07 and 08 July 2014. This was conducted at T/Vivekananda School auditorium with the assistance of Civil lecturers.

27th Sri Lanka National Guard Battalion located in 222 Brigade area under the 22 Division in security force (East), conducted a "Shramadhana Campaign" to clear a Public Well at Poonagar Medical Center in Trincomalee on 05th July 2014 with the participation of civilians.
