\"ARMY EASTERN GAMES 2014\" the three-day sports and Athletic Tournament, organized by the Security Force Headquarters – East, which was held at National Sports Complex, Polonnaruwa was concluded on 28TH June 2014. Athletic teams representing all Formations of the Eastern theatre along with dozens of invited school athletes from the eastern region.

As per the instruction given by Commander Security Force (East) Major General SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG a lectures on the prevention of HIV Aids was conducted by Dr Kapila Gunawardena of Kandy Hospital, for Offices and Soldiers Serving under Security Force (East) Area, at the Lecture Hall of Security Force Headquarters (East) Welikanda on 30th June 2014.

The Opening Address of the 3rd Basic Computer Course conducted by the Security Forces Headquarters (East) in the Year 2014, with the direction of commander Security Forces East Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG. Was held at Security Forces Headquarters (East) Lecture Hall on 03 July 2014 The Opening Address was delivered by Brig KLAS Wijesinghe RWP RSP psc IG, Brigadier General Staff - SFHQ (E).

8th Sri Lanka National Guard under the 232 Brigade of 23 Division located in Periyawadduwan under Security Forces (East) Conducted a Medical Clinic for 152 nos of Civilians residing in Ilukkupathana village at Chenkalladi on 27th June 2014.

11th Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment located in Meeyangolla under the 233 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area Distributed of Breakfast among the Bogamuyaya Pre School Students at Bogamuyaya School on 25th June 2014.

6th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment located in 221 Brigade under 22 Division in Security Force (East) area Organized a "Shramadhana Campaign" to clear the surroundings of Kumburupiddi Navachcholai School at Kuchchweli on 30th June 2014 with the participation of General Public in the area.

27th Regiment, Sri Lanka National Guard located in Ichchalampathu under the 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area Organized a "Shramadhana Campaign" to clear the surroundings of Murungan Kovil at Verugal on 30th June 2014 with the participation of General Public in the area.

The Closing Ceremony of the Company Commanders Refresher Course No - 02 conducted by the Security Forces Headquarters(East) was held at Security Forces Headquarters(East) Welikanda on 05th June 2014. Brig AMR Dharmasiri psc, General Officer Commanding 22 Div grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Refresher Course conducted for 20 x working days along with several Indoor and Outdoor Exercises with an aim to develop the Knowledge and skills of Leadership, Staff Duties, Presentation.......ect of Company Commanders who are serving under Security Forces (East).
