5th Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment located in Thopoor under 224 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Force (East) organized a “Dengue Prevention Campaign” to clean the premises and surrounding of Jinnanagar Pre school on 18th Sep 2014 with the participation of civilians in the area. (Troops participated 00 x 05)

233 Brigade under 23 Div in Security Force (East) conducted an eye clinic in order to donate contact lenses to 50 x elderly citizens in Koralepattu, Vakarei area with the sponsorship from “World Vision” at 1400 hrs on 19th Sep 2014.

3 rd Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard Located in Panichchankarni under the 233 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area distributed School bags with other items and Dry Ration Packets among Students and 90 Families at Vakarei Maha Vidyalaya premises. This event is presided by Donor Mrs Indrani Mendis with the Sponsorship of "Chethana Association" Children Non Government Organization on 12th Aug 2014.

233 Brigade and 24th Sri Lanka National Guard Battalion troops Located in Sinhapura under the 23 Division in the Security Forces (East) area distributed Drinking Water, Dry rations and 25 x Water Tanks for 180 x Families who were affected by the drought at Mahindagama Village - Welikanda with the sponsorship of Maliban Biscuit Manufactories Limited on 12th Aug 2014.

8th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Periyawadduwan under the 232 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed Drinking Water for 57 x Families who were affected by the prevailing drought at Madupulthottam Village in Thoppigala on 13th Aug 2014.

4th Sri Lanka Army Service Corps located in Hingurakgoda under the 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed Drinking Water for 350 x Families who were affected by the drought at Jayathugama Village in Medirigiriya on 09th Aug 2014.

Buddhist Chanel and Sambodhi Viharaya - Colombo conducted a Pirith chanting ceremony from 1930 hrs to 2130 hrs on 13 Aug 2014 at gal viharaya - Polonnaruwa to bless with the motive of gaining Rain. The Pirith ceremony was conducted by Chief Incumbent of Asgiri chapter and Daranagama Kusaladamma Theros along with 50 Buddhist Theros. This was Organized by Commander Security Force (East) Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG with the support of the Troops under command to 22 Division. Senior Army officers, ORS and large no of civilians were gathered for the ceremony.

233 Brigade under the 23 Division in Security Force (East) conducted a Water distributing event with the direction of Commander Security Force (East) Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG on 14 Aug 2014 with the Sponsorship of Buddhist Channel and Sambodhi Viharaya – Colombo in order to distribute water storing tanks and water bottles among the 430 families who were deadly affected by prevailing drought in Koraleipattu North GS divisional area at Vakerai Maha Vidyalaya. Commander 233 Brigade and Senior Army Officers were Present on this Occasion.

233 Brigade under 23 Division in Security Force (East) conducted a Water distributing event with the direction of Commander Security Force (East) Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG on 14 Aug 2014 with the Sponsorship of Buddhist Chanel and Sambodhi Viharaya - Colombo in order to distribute water storing tanks and water bottles among 825 families who were deadly affected by prevailing drought in Walikanda - Singhapura GS divisional area at Dimbulana Junior School. BGS Security Force Headquarters (East) and Senior Army Officers were Present on this Occasion.

Buddhist Chanel and Sambodhi Viharaya - Colombo has distributed 224 numbers of 500 ltr water storing tanks and 4500 numbers of 5 ltr and 1500 numbers of 1 ltr water bottles among 4647 families who were deadly affected by prevailing drought in Higurakgoda and Madirigiriy DS divisional areas. This event presided by Chief Incumbent of Asgiri chapter and Daranagama Kusaladamma Throes at Jayathugama Sri Jayabimba Ramaya on 14 Aug 2014.
