8th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Periyawadduwan under the 232 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed Drinking Water for 14 x Families who were affected by the prevailing drought at Perumaweli Village in Iralakkulam on 07th Aug 2014.

The Opening Address of the 4th Basic Computer Course conducted by the Security Forces Headquarters (East) in the Year 2014, with the direction of commander Security Forces East Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG Was held at Security Forces Headquarters (East) Lecture Hall on 12 Aug 201. The Opening Address was delivered by Brig KLAS Wijesinghe RWP RSP psc IG, Brigadier General Staff – SF HQ (E).

24th Sri Lanka National Guard Battalion Located in Sinhapura under the 233 Brigade in 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area distributed School bags with other items and Dry Ration Packets among Students and 110 Families at Walikanda, Mahindagama Junior School premises. This event is Presided by Donor Mrs Indrani Mendis with the Sponsorship of "Chethana Association" Children Non Government Organization on 12th Aug 2014.

23 Sri Lanka Singha Regiment Stationed under 242 Bde of 24 Division in Security Forces (East) Conducted a Cool Drinks Dansal on 12 June 2014 in Potuvil Area to mark the Poson Poya Day.

11th Sri Lanka National Guard Stationed under 242 Bde of 24 Division in Security Forces (East) held a Boody Pooja at Shailathalaramaya in Neeththa Grama Seva Division on 12 June 2014 to mark the Poson Poya Day.

The 2nd Course of the Company Commanders$ Refresher Course Series conducted for the year 2014 by the Security Forces Headquarters (East) was commenced. The Opening address was conducted by Major General SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG, the Commander Security Forces (East) at Security Forces Headquarters(East) premises in Welikanda on 16th June 2014.The Course will be conducted for three weeks with an aim to develop the Knowledge and skills of Leadership, Staff Duties, Presentations of Company Commanders stationed in the Security Forces (East) area.

Tps of Security Forces (East) Under the Patronage of Maj Gen Lal Perera Comd Security Forces (East) Conducted a Poson Celebration in a Grand Scale in Every Where in the Eastern Area. 22 Division 22 Division and Under Comd Bridges were Conducted Dansal Programmes in Trincomalee Area.

Athletic Meet Organized along with the "ARMY EASTERN GAMES 2014" Commenced at National Sports Complex, Polonnaruwa on 26TH June 2014. Athletic teams representing all Formations of the Eastern theater taken part at the Athletic Meet. Major General Lal Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG, Commander Security forces (East), graced the opening Ceremony. An Exhibition depicting the Army Sports story was held at National Sports Complex, Polonnaruwa. Along with "ARMY EASTERN GAMES 2014" on 26th, 27th and 28th June 2014.
