Security Force Headquarters (East) commemorated the 65th Army Day on 10th October 2014 at Security Force Headquarters (East), Welikanda. Initially the flag of Security Force Headquarters (East) was hoisted. After declaring the Army Commander’s message, the 65th Army Day Celebration was culminated at the Other Ranks’ Mess of Security Force Headquarters (East).

2nd Gajaba Regiment located under the 221 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Force Headquarters (East) AOR, organized a “shramadana" campaign to clean the surrounding of Anandarama Temple in Sirimapura on10th October 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 06)

8th Sri Lanka National Guard under 232 Brigade of 23 Division located in Periyawadduwan under Security Forces (East) conducted a Shramadhana Campaign to clear the surrounding of Perumaweli Tharavi Sri Vinayagar School in Koralaipattu South on 01 Sep 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 06)

27th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Ichalanpathu under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed drinking Water for 100 x families who were affected by the prevailing drought at Ilangathurei and Karakamunai Villages on 02 Sep 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 03)

11th Sri Lanka National Guard located at Akkarepaththu under 242 Brigade of 24 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed Dry Ration Packets and 05 ltr Water Bottles for 353 x Families at Keenawaththa DS area in Ampara District on 01st Sep 2014 with the Sponsorship of Sirasa Sahana Shakthi Programme. (Troops participated 02 x 06)

11th Sri Lanka National Guard located at Akkarepaththu under 242 Brigade of 24 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed Dry Ration Packets and 05 ltr Water Bottles for 792 x Families at Pannalgama, Kumana and Damana DS area in Ampara District on 02nd Sep 2014 with the Sponsorship of Sirasa Sahana Shakthi Programme. (Troops participated 02 x 06)

5th Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment Located in Thopoor under 224 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) Conducted a Shramadhana Campaign to clear the Surrounding of Kanguweli Pre School in Muttur on 05 Sep 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 05).

8th Gemunu Watch and and 12th Gajaba Regiment located at 231 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) conducted a Shramadhana Campaign to clear the surrounding of Kudumbimalai Kumaran Vidyalaya in Koralaipattu South on 30 Aug 2014. (Troops participated 00x 15)

22nd Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment located in Kallar under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed drinking Water for 40 x families who were affected by the prevailing drought at Ariyamankarni Village on 05 Sep 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 03).

8th Gemunu Watch Regiment located at kokadicholei Under 231 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) conducted an Opening ceremony of placing a stand of grotto for Mother Mary statue at Ayyththamalei Church at 1800 hrs on 06 Sep 2014. This event presided by chief Bishop ponnaiya Joseph and commander 231 Bde along with civil and military officials grace the occasion.
