The finals of 22 Inf Div Volleyball Challenge Trophy – 2023 was held on 10 October 2023 at 5 (V) Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery Volleyball Court, Seenipuraand Kanthale
Commemorating the 74th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army , 9 Battalion The Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment carried out this program as a social mission under the 22 Infantry Division, on the exhortation of the commander, 22 Infantry Division Major General GMN Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, under the guidance and supervision of the commander 222 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier NNS Dias RSP
The Commander of the Forward Maintenance Area (East) held a significant conference with the leadership of the 24th Infantry Division to address and strategize over logistic matters on 5 October 2023. This conference marked a pivotal moment in ensuring the operational efficiency and readiness of under-command Brigades and Battalions of 24 Infantry Division
The 24 Infantry Division, on 4 October 2023 organized a school accessories distribution programme at Ampara Wadinagala Vidyalaya with the intention of giving underway helping hands to uplift the education standard of the students in remote areas. This programme was organized according to the guidance and directions of the General Officer Commanding 24 Infantry Division, Major General W Chandrasiri RSP USP psc, with the assistance of the 241 Infantry Brigade and the 8 Sri Lanka National Guard.
Considering the future challenge of tsunami disaster, the Disaster Management Centre of Sri Lanka conducted an exercise in the general area Kuchchaweli, to aware the community against any tsunami situation in the area. Conducted the exercise to evacuate the civil community of the general area Pudavaikaddu, Mathurankuda, Sagarapura and evacuated the students of An-noor Muslim College Kuchchaweli on 04 October 2023.
Security Forces Headquarters - East, donated the four garbage bins to the Ancient Dimbulagala Aranya Senasanaya on 30 September 2023. An officer with 08 Other Ranks were attended to the placement of garbage bin on both side of the road from the Dimbulagala Viharaya to "Sky Palace".
Troops of the 22 Infantry Division serving under the Security Force Headquarters- East organized special entertainment programmes for children at the 22 divisional area on 01 and 02 October 2023 on account of the International Children’s Day.
7 Light Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery provided lunch for 130 students of Rotawa Alokarama Dhamma School and 12 Battalion Gemunu watch donated educational tools to the 22 children at Sri Indrasara Child Development Center Dehiathtakandiya, under the supervision of 231 Infantry Brigade.
To mark World Children's Day for the year 2023 24 Infantry Division organized the children's day programmes at the divisional area-wide on 01 and 02 October 2023 on the conceptual guidance of Major General MKUP Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG, the Commander, Security Forces - East.
Simultaneous to World Children's day Forward Maintains Area- East Organized the series of programme by the under-command battalion with the direction of Major General MWTC Mettananda USP ndc, Commander FMA East. For the programmes the primary conceptual guidance given by the Major General MKUP Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG, the Commander, Security Forces - East.
