On the instructions of the Commander of the Army and under the directions of the Commander, Security Force Headquarters (West) Major General W H K S Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, with the guidance given by the General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division Major General K A W N H Bandaranayake USP, and close supervision of the Commander 144 1nfantry Brigade, Brig K D L C Wijenayake RWP RSP USP troops of 144 Infantry Brigade under the Security Force (West) launched a special dengue prevention programme, covering Gothatuwa, Kotikawththa, and Mulleriyawa public Health Medical areas in order to avoid possibilities for any outbreak of the epidemic on 11 Nov 2023.
