    An awareness program was conducted in collaboration with the ‘CLEAN SRI LANKA’ program, under the theme “Rich Country, A Beautiful Life” as envisioned by His Excellency the president. The event took place on 08 April 2025 at the 2(V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry lecture hall, under the guidance of the Brigade Commander of 144 Infantry Brigade. This successful program completed with the active participation of 2(V) SLLI troops.

    An awareness program was conducted in collaboration with the "CLEAN SRI LANKA" Program, under the theme "A Rich Country, A Beautiful Life," as envisioned by His Excellency the President. The event took place on 04 April 2025 at the PMU Lecture Hall, under the guidance of the Civil Affairs Officer of the 144 Infantry Brigade. This successful program completed with the active participation from the troops of 144 Inf Bde, 2 (V) SLLI, 10 SLNG, and 2 (V) SLPC.

  • SRI LANKA NATIONAL GUARD TROOPS FROM 18TH BATTALION RESTORE ACCESS TO RAJAWAKA-KALTHOTA ROAD AFTER STORM DAMAGE

    On 30 March 2025, with the approval of the 61 Infantry Division and under the guidance of the 572 Infantry Brigade, two groups of 20 x troops from the 18th Battalion, Sri Lanka National Guard, responded quickly to clear the Rajawaka-Kalthota road. The road had been blocked by fallen trees, soil, and debris caused by heavy rainfall. The soldiers worked diligently to remove the obstacles, ensuring that transportation was swiftly restored for the local community. This quick and effective response underscores the Army’s ongoing commitment to public service, disaster relief, and national resilience, as well as its crucial role in emergency response during times of need.

  • DISASTER RESPONSE AND RESCUE TRAINING WORKSHOP CONDUCTED FOR THE TROOPS OF 14 INFANTRY DIVISION

    Under the direction of the Commander Security Forces (West), Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc and the close supervision of the General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division, Major General KJNMPK Nawarathna RWP RSP ndu, a Disaster Response and Rescue Training Programme was successfully conducted from 27 to 29 March 2025 at 2nd Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry camp premises in Kelanimulla.

The program aimed to equip the participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Clean Sri Lanka Project, a significant initiative focused on enhancing cleanliness and environmental sustainability across the country. This training was conducted under the expert leadership and guidance of Commander Security Forces (West), Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, whose valuable insights and extensive experience greatly contributed to the success of the program.

  • DISASTER RESPONSE TRAINING WORKSHOP CONDUCTED FOR THE TROOPS OF 61 INFANTRY DIVISION

    As per the direction of Commander Security Forces (West) and the close supervision of General Officer Commanding 61 Infantry Division Major General K T P De Silva RSP ndu psc, in an effort to enhance disaster response capabilities, the 61 Infantry Division successfully conducted a Disaster Response and rescue training programme for its personnel at Madampa river and Rivers Edge Hotel premises in Ambalangoda. This training workshop aimed to equiped officers and soldiers with essential skills to conduct swift and efficient rescue operations during a flood situation in the area.
