  • 78TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION WITH CHILDREN AT GALMURUWA

    In celebration of the 78tය National Independence Day, 7 Gajaba Regiment of 57 Infantry Division, Department of Social Services together with Vocational Training Institute organized a heartfelt community welfare programme at the Vocational Training Institute at Galmuruwa, Madampe. As a part of the event lunch was provided for 18 children with special needs who are been cared and trained at the institute.

  • CONDUCTING AN EYE CLINIC AND HEALTH CLINIC CAMP

    The eye and health clinic camp for senior citizens organized by Supreme Global Holdings Private Limited under the Supreme Care Jana Suwa Yathra social welfare programme was held on 31.01.2006 at G/Welivitiya Vivekananda Tamil School. A staff of 19 from Supreme Global participated in for the programme while 300 senior citizens from the area were participated for eye and health clinic. A total of 01 X 09 personnels from 20 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Battalion contributed for successful completion of the programme.

  • 611 INFANTRY BRIGADE AND 8TH SRI LANKA SINHA REGIMENT SHARE INDEPENDENCE DAY WITH ELDERS

    In commemoration of the 78th National Independence Day, the 611 Infantry Brigade together with the 8th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment organized a community welfare programme by providing lunch to the residents of the Medhananda Elders’ Home at Galigamuwa Divisional Secretariat area on 4 February 2026.

  • 9TH BATTALION OF THE SRI LANKA NATIONAL GUARD CONDUCTS WELFARE PROGRAMME IN LINE WITH 78TH NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE DAY

    In parallel with the 78th National Independence Day celebrations, the 9th Battalion of the Sri Lanka National Guard, under the 57 Infantry Division, conducted a social welfare programme to support low income families of the Alakoladeniya GN Division.

  • MEDICAL CLINIC CONDUCTED AT NEELABEMMA PRIMARY SCHOOL

    In line with the 78th Independence Day Celebrations, troops of 1st Sri Lanka National Guard have successfully conducted a medical clinic at Neelabemma Primary School to serve the local community. The programme was carried out under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 57 Infantry Division, Commander of 143 Infantry Brigade and under the supervision of the Commanding Officer of 1st Sri Lanka National Guard.

  • 9TH BATTALION SRI LANKA NATIONAL GUARD JOIN HANDS WITH CIVIL COMMUNITY FOR CLEANING PROGRAMME AT BADAGAMUWA FOREST TO COMMEMORATE 78 TH INDEPENDENCE DAY

    To coincide with the 78th National Independence Day celebrations, a special cleaning programme was conducted along both sides of the Kurunegala–Dambulla main road passing through Badagamuwa Forest Reserve on 02 February 2026 with participation of 02 officers and 20 other ranks of the 9th battalion Sri Lanka National Guard. The programme was carried out under the direct supervision of the Commanding Officer of the 9th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard with the guidance of the General Officer Commanding 57 Infantry Division and Commander 571 Infantry Brigade.

  • SUBMISSION OF DETAILS OF SUPPORT TO THE COMMUNITY TO MAKE THE GALLE FISHERIES HARBOUR PREMISES A DENGUE-FREE ZONE UNDER THE CLEAN SRI LANKA PROGRAM

    Under the Clean Sri Lanka Programme, a cleaning programme was held on 24 Jan 2026 to remove a portion of the garbage dump located within the Galle Fisheries Harbour premises and make it an eco-friendly zone free from dengue. For this 61 Infantry Division, 20 SLLI and 2 (V) GW troops participated in the programme on the instructions of the General Officer Commander of 61 Infantry Division Major General WSV Fernando USP ndc IG and under the full supervision of the Commander 573 Infantry Brigade Colonel EAUA Amarasekara RSP.

  • Provision of Lunch to the Shakti Blind Home

    With the supervision of Commanding Officer 9 Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment provided a lunch to 58 x blind members at Shakthi Blind Home located in the Ovitigamuwa South of Kirinda Puhulwella from 1200 hr to 1330 hr on 19 January 2026 with the participation of 02 x 15 troops.

  • REMARKS ON THE OCCASION OF THE FIFTEENANNIVERSARY OF 613 INFANTRY BRIGADE

    The 15th Anniversary of 613 Infantry Brigade was celebrated with simplicity, pride and honour on 20 January 2026. The celebrations were followed by a series of military traditions. As the first phase, pilgrims were conducted on 19 January 2026 to bless all serving Officers andOther Ranks and to pay homage to those Officers and Other Ranks who sacrificed and devoted their lives for the motherland. A charming bodhi pooja was organized to offfer prayers and wishes for the speedy recovery of all who were disabled due to war. The events were initiated under the direction by the Commander, 613 Infantry Brigade,Colonel BKSL Rodrigo RSP.

  • DEPUTY COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (WEST) OFFICIALLY VISITS 14 INFANTRY DIVISION

    Major General H D L S Perera RWP RSP ndc Deputy Commander Security Force (West), visited the 14 Infantry Division (14 Inf Div) on 19 Jan 2026. General Officer Commanding 14 Inf Div Deputy General Officer Commanding 14 Inf div and all the staff warmly welcomed the Deputy Commander Security Forces (West).
