Kadupiti Oya, which supplies water to the Nelumpokuna Water Purification Plant, was disrupted by soil and debris, reducing the water supply. Responding swiftly, troops of the 22 Gajaba Regiment cleared the dam area in Madampe. After two days of continuous effort, the obstruction was removed, restoring normal water flow to the treatment plant.

The team promptly cut down and removed the obstructing trees, ensuring the safety of the school premises.
