Following the floods, majority of the wells in Marapana GS Division in Rathnapura District were got unsafe for human use. Under the initiative of the 61 Infantry Division and direction of 572 Infantry Brigade flood affected areas were identified, and troops of the11 Gemunu Watch carried out essential well-cleaning operations for 25 wells in Marapana on 06 December 2025. Their timely effort restored safe water access to the community.

A section of the Polgahawela - Ambepussa railway line was damaged by a landslide in the Yaththalgoda area, approximately 300 meters from the 58 km post between Bujjomuwa and Yaththalgoda stations. With the tireless continued efforts 1 Sri Lanka Singha Regiment (1 SLSR), railway track is being renovated steady fast.

A mobile medical campaign was conducted in the Walauwatta, Ranala area on 5 December 2025 after floodwaters receded, providing essential healthcare to affected residents. A total of 182 individuals received treatment during the programme, supported by a medical team consisting of one doctor and two nurses from the Army Base Hospital, Panagoda. Additionally, one Officer and two Other Ranks from the 144 Infantry Brigade ensured smooth administrative coordination throughout the campaign.
