    As per the instructions of the Commander Security Forces West, Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP, organized a workshop on Mess accounts for Other Ranks who are serving in the Security Forces Headquarters (West) from 25 July 2022 onward at Regimental Headquarters of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Engineers lecture hall – Army cantonment Panagoda.

  • ARMY PERSONNEL HELPED TO BE A SOURCE OF ENCOURAGEMENT FOR LOW-INCOME FAMILIES IN COLOMBO AREA

    With the coordination of Thalagala Sri Siddhartha Foundation (Sri Lanka) and the Tan Ngak Buay & Kee Meng Lang Foundation Limited (Singapore), 144 Infantry Brigade under Security Forces (West) organized a charity programmer of donating 1500 packs of dry ration to low-income families living in Kaduwela, Kolonnawa, Kotte areas. Similarly, 3rd stage of said programmer has been conducted at Wevekaramaya Temple - Pegeriwaththa on 22 July 2022 for the needy families who are living in Gangodavila Grama Niladari Division.

  • ARMY TROOPS PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO DISTRIBUTE DRY RATIONS AMONG THE NEEDY

    As per the direction of the General Officer Commanding of 61 Infantry Division, Major General W R M N Rathnayaka RWP RSP USP ndu and Commander 613 Infantry Brigade, as well as the close supervision of the Commanding Officer of 14 (V) Battalion of Gamunu Watch, another noble project coordinated in line with continuous sponsorship lent by Thalagala Sri Siddhartha Foundation (Sri Lanka) and the Tan Ngak Buay & Kee Meng Lang Foundation Limited (Singapore), to give away one more consignment of 150 packs of dry ration to poverty-stricken families living in Divisional Secretariat of Habaraduwa on 07 July 2022 at Dharmika Maha Vidyalaya, Katukurunda, Habaraduwa.

    While 3 (V) Battalion Gamunu Watch troops were on duty near the main gate of their Headquarters in Matara, a stranded foreigner has been generously helped to move his vehicle to the nearest fuel station after his vehicle suddenly stopped near the main gate due to lack of fuel on 07 July 2022.

  • ARMY ASSISTANCE FOR ANOTHER NOBLE TASK

    A stranded family including mother and her disabled son, who have been temporarily staying at Nittambuwa public ground pavilion for a week has been helped by proving a vehicle with fuel to send them back to their mother’s house located in Poddala - Galle in the evening hours on 6 July 2022 by Mr. Nihal, the owner of Nihal fashion (Pvt) Ltd and the president of the Nittabuwa trade union. In this tense situation, fuel for this noble task has been arranged in line with the filling station – IOC, Nittambuwa by the Commanding Officer of 6 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery of Security Forces (West).

    Responding to a request made by Visakha Vidyalaya – Colombo 5, Army Personnel of 142 and 144 Infantry Brigades of Security Forces (West) voluntarily donated their blood to the Central Blood Bank at Narahenpita on 02 July 2022.

  • ARMY HELPS DISTRIBUTION OF DRY RATION PACKS

    100 packs of dry ration were distributed among low - income families who are living in Baddegama, Galle under 61 Infantry Division Area of Responsibility of Security Forces (West) on 03 July 2022 at Dutugemunu Rajamaha Viharaya in Baddegama.

  • WEST TROOPS COORDINATED ANOTHER CHARITY PROGRAMME

    In line with continuous sponsorship lent by Thalagala Sri Siddhartha Foundation (Sri Lanka) and the Tan Ngak Buay & Kee Meng Lang Foundation Limited (Singapore) together with troops of 144 Infantry Brigade and 2 (v) Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry of 14 Infantry Division under the Security Forces (West) another humanitarian event of providing 330 packs of dry ration to low-income families living in the general area Kaduwela on 01 July 2022 at Hewagama primary school.

  • 12 FIELD ENGINEERS REGIMENT DISTRIBUTED DRY RATION PACKS AMONG NEEDY FAMILIES

    ‘Sri Sathya Sai’ Foundation, Sri Lanka in collaboration with 12 Field Engineers Regiment under command to 612 Infantry Brigade of Security Forces (West) distributed dry ration packs to low-income families who are residing at Divisional Secretariat – Mathugama on June 2022 at Sri Sarananda Aranya, Welipenna.

  • TROOPS OF 61 INFANTRY DIVISION ORGANIZE DISTRIBUTION OF RELIEF PACKS

    Following sponsorship, extended by Talagala Sri Siddhartha Foundation of Ven Talagala Sumanaratana Nayake Thero and Tan Nagak & Kee Meng Leng Foundation Limited (Singapore) with the assistance of 613 Infantry Brigade and 3(V) Battalion of Gamunu Watch troops under 61 Infantry Division of Security Forces (West) organized distribution of relief packs among 650 needy families living in Kamburupitiya, Dikwella and Kotapola areas on 22 and 23 June 2022.
