COMMANDER 613 INFANTRY BRIGADE ASSUMED OFFICE

Colonel URIB Ranathunga RSP USP officially assumed command as the 9th Commander of the 613 Infantry Brigade at the Brigade Headquarters in Kamburupitiya on 4 January 2024. Thereby,the newly appointed commander was warmly welcomed the Brigade's staff,and greeted with a guard turnout by the troops of 3 (V) Gemunu Watch.

The assumption of command took place in a ceremony featuring pirith chanting, and to commemorate the occasion, a symbolic sapling was ceremoniously planted at the Brigade Commander’s office.
