Brigadier M K D P Mapalagama psc from Gamunu Watch assumed command as the 12th Commander of the 144 Infantry Brigade on 8 January 2024, taking charge at the Brigade Headquarters in Akuregoda, Pelawaththa. Upon his arrival, the newly-appointed Brigade Commander was greeted with a warm welcome by the Brigade’s staff, and a guard turnout by troops from the 2 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry.
The event was concluded by providing an opportunity for the newly appointed Brigade Commander to address the troops directly.
