  • TROOPS OF 141 INFANTRY BRIGADE COORDINATED ANOTHER COMMUNITY PROJECT

    With the coordination of 141 Infantry Brigade, another community project was launched with the intention of strengthening civil-military cooperation in line with the "Army Way Forward Strategy 2020 - 2025". The project was funded by the Sri Lanka Forum of the United States of America to distribute stock of medical accessories to the Wathupitiwala Base Hospital on 14 February 22.

    8 Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops under command to the 141 Infantry Brigade of the 14 Infantry Division under the Security Forces Headquarters (West) took prompt action to extinguish a bush fire that erupted inside the Danawkanda Forest in the Keragala area due to dry weather on Tuesday afternoon (8).

    On Friday afternoon, 04 February 2022, troops of the 8 Battalion Gamunu Watch under command to the 611 Infantry Brigade rushed to mitigate a fast-spreading wildfire in the general area Galaudakanda , Paragala, Ayagama forest reservation, as directed by the Commander, Security Forces (West), Major General K Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, with the supervision of the General Officer Commanding of the 61 Infantry Division.

    As per the direction of the Commander Security Forces (West) and under the close supervision of the General Officer Commanding of 14 Infantry Division, and Commander of the 142 Infantry Brigade a two-day workshop for the newly appointed prefects board of the Junior College, Mattakotuwa, Nattandiya, Chilaw, has been conducted under the patronage of experienced team comprised of Officers and Other Ranks of 16 Gajaba Regiment, with the aim of developing leadership skills from 28 and 29 January 2022.

  • A MOBILE VACCINATION PROGRAMME TO SPEED UP THE PROCESS WITHIN SF (WEST) AOR
