On 02 March 2023, responding to the emergency, Army personnel of 14 (v) Battalion Gemunu Watch under 613 Infantry Brigade belonging to 61 Infantry Division of Security Forces (West) assisted in the removal of a Nuga tree that had fallen on two houses located at Madawalamulla Grama Niladari Division in Kadawath Sathara Divisional Secretariat office area, Galle, due to heavy rains and gushing winds.

In response to a request made by Siri Perakumba Maha Vidyalaya located at Lunugama, Dompe, Army personnel of the 8 Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry under the 141 Infantry Brigade of the 14 Infantry Infantry Division extended their support to the training of students for the sports meet parade as well as provided referees to the school in order to judge the sports events from 24 February to 02 March 2023.
