GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 61 INFANTRY DIVISION VISITS 612 INFANTRY BRIGADE AND UNDER COMMAND FORMATIONS

After assuming duties as the General Officer Commanding of of 61 Infantry Division, Major General R A J N Ranasinghe RSP USP ndu made his first official visit to 612 Infantry Brigade and its under-command Battalions including 12 Field Sri Lanka Engineers and 1 Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps on 24 August 2023 respectively.

During the visit, the Brigade Commander and the Commanding Officers of the respective camps received the visiting General Officer Commanding after he was saluted with Guard Turnout on the arrival in keeping with military traditions. Thereby, the General Officer Commanding attended for a comprehensive briefing delivered by the Brigade Commander and respective Commanding Officers on their operational and administrative matters.

Similarly, the General Officer Commanding was invited to plant saplings inside the respective camps’ premises to mark his first formal visit. Several staff officers of 61 Infantry Division Headquarters accompanied the General Officer Commanding during the visit.
