According to information received by 7 Military Intelligent Corps troops attached to 223 Infantry Brigade, Intelligence troops together with Kinniya police officials; a person was apprehended with 50g of Kerala Cannabis at Kurunjankeni, Kinniya on 14 June 2023.
According to an information received by 7 Military Intelligent troops attached to 223 Infantry Brigade, Inteligent troops together with Echchalampaththu police officials, 04 persons was apprehended with 50g 220mg of X Methamphetamine (ICE) at Settipalam, Kalawanchikud on 13 june 2023.
At around 0430 pm on 22 June 23, fire broke out at the garbage dumping site in the Trincomalee Municipal Council located at Kanniya. Troops of 22 Infantry Division was able to stop progress of spreading fire in the garbage dumping site with the support of Navy, police, fire fighting brigade and civilians in the area.

There was a risk of fire spreading nearby houses and shops in the area. Thereafter suspected person with illegal drugs were handed over to the Muthur police station for further investigations.
According to the information received by 3 Military Intelligent Corps troops intelligent troops together with Kathiraweli STF officials; a person was apprehended with 2 Kg 460g of Kerala Cannabis and Rs.40000.00 at Kathiraweli on 29 May 2023. Thereafter suspected person with illegal drugs were handed over to the Vakarei police station for further investigations.
