According to information received by 7 Military Intelligent Corps troops attached to 223 Infantry Brigade, Intelligence troops together with Kinniya police officials; a person was apprehended with 50g of Kerala Cannabis at Kurunjankeni, Kinniya on 14 June 2023. Thereafter suspected persons with illegal drugs were handed over to the kinniya police station for further investigations.
The Commander, Security Forces (East) together with the General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division, and the Brigade Commander, 223 Infantry Brigade with the Commanding Officer, 7 Military Intelligence Corps closely monitored the raid and instructed accordingly. With the apprehended of these illegal activities in respective areas, illegal activities will be curtailed in the area and the general public’s confidence in the Military forces will be increased.
