With a concept of the Commander 241 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier WBJK Wimalaratne RWP RSP, a project on construction of water control structure at Thambette bridge in Alayadivembu is on progress with the coordination of GA Office Ampara. The Hon Governor of the Eastern province Mrs Anuradha Yahampath also visited the site on 08 July 2021 by taking part to implement this valuable project which also provides benefits for the poor people in the area.
