Troops of the 17 (V) Sri Lanka National Guard of the 221 Brigade under the 22 Infantry Division with the sponsorship provided by Vice Chairman, Mirigama - Pradeshiya Sabha donated school accessories for the students of Sagarapura Primary School, Jayanagar in Trincomalee District on Friday (17).
Environmentally-conscious 18 VIR troops launched a coastal belt clearing program on 10 December 2021 from Sinnamuttuwaram to Akkaraipattu with the aim of promoting reconciliation between civil society and the Sri Lanka Army.

The troops of 233 Infantry Brigade organized a special educative programme at Vakarai Maha Vidyalaya on Thursday (25 Nov 2021) to uplift the students’ interest on Cricket. During the programme, the students and the teachers were educated on possible improvement of positive thinking, social discipline, skill development, mental health and stability and the way to challenge the challenges etc. In addition, some practical exercises were also conducted under close supervision of Cricket Coaches.
