On June 30th, 2023, troops of the 24 Infantry Division set off on an adventurous trip to strengthen their camaraderie and spend quality time with their loved ones. Under the inspiring leadership of Major General W Chandrasiri RSP USP psc, who planned and guided the excursion with the aim of strengthening the teamwork, lowering the work stress, relieving the uniformity, and promoting the harmony among his troops, they explored Muhudu Maha Viharaya and the serene Arugam Bay.
The troops first visited the historic Muhudu Maha Viharaya, where they marveled at the ancient relics and statues. Then they headed to the tranquil Arugam Bay, where they enjoyed the afternoon with refreshing breeze and the soothing waves. They indulged in various games and activities. They also savored a delicious picnic on the beach, surrounded by the beauty of nature. It was a memorable day for all the brave Officers, Other Ranks, and their families.
