2nd Gajaba Regiment located in Trincomalee under 221 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area, organized a "Shramadhana Campaign" to clean the surroundings of Public Health Midwife office in Sonanwadi on 08th Aug 2013.

As per a Concept of Commander Security Forces (East) Major General SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG arranged Educational/ welfare tour for Serving officers and ORs Families in SFHQ(E) on 09th, 10th, and 11st Aug 2013. They Visited Eastern Theater including Polonnaruwa, Somawathiya, Dimbulagala, Seruvila, Challathiu and Thoppigala Heritage park. It was benefited for School Children for Educational purposes.

222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area, provide assistance to instate a Buddha Statue which was unveiled at Kantale Town on 15th August morning at 8.41 hrs. Sri Lanka Army provide Transport assistance, Flowers and Refreshments for devotees who attend for the unveiling ceremony

2nd Gajaba Regiment located in Trincomalee under 221 Bde of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area, Conducted a "Shramadana Campaign" to clear the area of "Vijithapura Sumathi Pre School",Trincomalee, along with Police officers and civilians in the area from 0900 hrs to 1200 hrs on 15 July 2013.

With an Aim to uplift the Educational standards in the Eastern Theatre, 2th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Ichchalampattu Under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area, Conducted a Seminar for 301 x Students, who appear for the "Year 5" Scholarship Examination in the Year 2013, at "T/Sri Sanpaha School", Ichchalampattu in Trincomalee on 15th Aug 2013.Sri Lanka army Provide Refreshments and Lunch for all participants.

Security Forces Headquarters (East),under the direction of Major General Lal Perera, The Commander, Security Forces (East) initiated a program to promote use of Organic fertilizer amongst farmers in the Eastern Theatre with the assistance of Agriculture Department.

Inter Battalion Athletic Meet of Sri Lanka Army Womens$ Corps was held at the "Mahaweli Grounds" at Dehiattakandya on 22nd and 23rd August 2013. Major General SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG Commander Security Forces (East) and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women Corps grace the Closing Ceremony of the Athletic Meet on 23rd August 2013.

5th Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment stationed in Thopur under 224 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area, conducted a "Shramadhana Campaign" to clean in and around the "Common Well" which is facilitated for 56 x families at Patalipuram Village in Sampoor on 18th Aug 2013.
