5th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery in Thopur under 224 Brigade of 22 Div in Security Force (East) area, organized an awareness Programme on Child Abuse at "Anhar" Ladies College in Muthur from 1000 hrs to 1300 hrs on 20 th March 2014 .

2nd Gajaba Regiment located in Trincomalee under 221 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area, offered Lunch for inmates of the "Karuna" Elders Home at Linganagar in Trincomalee on 26th March 2014.

Tree Planting Ceremony was held at 232 Brigade on 15th November 2013 along with "Dayata Sevana" National Tree Planting Programme. 64X coconut plants were planted by the Officers and Other Ranks stationed at the Headquarters of 232 Brigade

9th Gemunu Watch located in Nawaladi 233 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces(East) distributed 70 parcels of dry rations for people who live nearby Punani Panchamaha Temple on 13.11.2013 with the sponsorship of Ven.Thalagala Thero of Vipassana Meditation Centre,Ven. Swarna Thero of Nepal ,Ven. Horana Yasassi Thero of Polonnaru Rajamaha Viharaya under Sri Siddhartha Foundation and 06 other donors from Singapore and Thailand.

24th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Sinhapura under 233 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Force (East) area, provided fresh milk and lunch for 50X pregnant mothers at the Medical Clinic of Sinhapura from 0930 hours to 1300 hours on 13th November 2013.

3rd Sri Lanka National Guard located in Vakarai,under 233 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Force (East) area distributed lunch for 40x students in "Sathyapalar Pre school" in Koralipattu South on 11th November 2013.

A meeting presided by the Commander Security Forces (East) Major General Lal Perera was held on 16th November 2013 at the Divisional Secretariat - Thirukkovil & Akkaraipattu Municipal Council with an aim to build harmony , among religious leaders and the general public in the area.Positive sentiment expressed by participants.

28th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Karthiu 631Brigade of Task Force 3 in Security Forces (East) area distributed dry ration packets among 10 x pregnant mothers at Annamalai village in Navindanweli to mark the President’s Birth day from 1000 hrs to 1030 hrs on 20th November 2013.

12th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Komary under 632 Brigade of Task Force 3 in Security Forces (East) area distributed dry ration packets among 25 x villagers in Thandiyad area at Thandiyad Vigneshwara School to mark the President$s Birth day on 18th November 2013.

12th Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment located in Kalladi under 231 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area conducted lecture program in subjects of Mathematics and Science with the assistance of teachers PT Kamaladasan, P Kuhadasan, and T Darmapalan, for 94 x students covering 10 schools in Valachchena area, who are sitting for GCE (O/L) Examination this year. Program was held at "Valachchena Muslim School" in Valachchena from 0830 hrs to 1600 hrs on 23rd November 2013 and students were provided soft drinks.
