2nd Sri Lanka National Guard located in Ichalanpathu under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East), Organized a “Shramadhana Campaign” to clean in and around of Udappukeni School premises on 07 July 2013.

Wattala – Rotary Club headed by Ms: Mega Fernando once again showed goodwill and generosity towards people living in Muttur Divisional Secretariat under Security Forces Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) by donating 45 push bicycles and 150 pairs of shoes for the distribution amongst the low-income group students on 06 July 2013. Commander 22 Division graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Last week for Trophy of Eastern Commander, 23 Division in Security Forces (East) organized a Football tournament with in 14 teams and final teams which took part in Shivananda School play ground at Batticaloa. Major Genaral SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG participated as a chief guest of the function and awards ceremony. Vice Chancellor of Eastern University, DIG Batticaloa Division and Municipal Councilors of Batticaloa also participated.

General J Jayasuriya VSV USP ndu psc Commander of the Army visited Security Force Headquarters (East) bid Farewell to serving troops in the East theater prior to taking over in his new appointment as CDS on 09 July 2013.

8th Gemunu Watch located under 231 Bde of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) conducted a Shramadana Campaign to repair the road driven from Thumpalancholai to Unnachchiya in Eravour with the assistance of civilions in the area on 10 July 2013

632 Bde located in Komari under Task Force 3 in Security Forces (East) conducted a Seminar for Students who appear for the Year 5 scholarship Examination in the year 2013 with the assistance of "A Tomorrow for Youth" movement at Ulla, Sinhapura Sinhala school in Pottuvil on 5th July 2013

Sri Lanka Army, 2nd Gajaba Regiment Located under 221 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area conducted several charity services on 08 July 2013 at 2nd Gajaba Regiment in Trincomalee, with the financial assistance of Mr Waruna Weerasinghe who is employed in Dubai.
