632 Brigade located in Komari under Task Force 3 in Security Forces (East) area Organized distribution of gift packs containing school amenities and clothings worth of Rs 5000/= amongst 806 x students of 04 Schools in Panama area, sponsorsed by Rotary Club, Kelaniya on 12 th Sep 2013. Several Military and Civil dignitarie together with Rotarions who sponsored the project participated at the function

As per the concept of The Commander, Security Forces (East) Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG, Security Forces Headquarters (East) Conducted a Meeting with Hindu Religious & Social Leaders in the Eastern Province headed by Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG, The Commander, Security Forces (East) on 15 Sep 2013 at Security Forces Headquarters (East) with the aim of building harmony amongst Hindu religious and Social leaders in the Eastern Theatre and to discuss bilateral issues related to them. Positive sentiments were expressed by participants.

Security Forces Headquarters (East) Conducted a Meeting with Burgher Community in Batticaloa area headed by Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG, The Commander, Security Forces (East) on 15 Sep 2013 in Batticaloa, with the aim of building harmony amongst Burgher community in Batticaloa and to discuss issues related to them. Positive sentiments were expressed by participants. General Officer Commanding 23 Division along with several Military and Civil Dignitaries participated at the subjected Meeting.

8th Gamunu Watch located in Unnachchiya under 231 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East), area Organized a "Shramadhana Campaign" to clear the Surrounding of Waligahakandiya Vipulananda School area on 19th Sep 2013.

2nd Gajaba Regiment located in Trincomalee under 221 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area, organized a Dental Clinic for Civilians in the area at Jayasumanarama Temple in Trincomalee with the Sponsorship of "Link Natural Company" on 15 Sep 2013.

Security Forces Headquarters (East) ,under the direction of Major General Lal Perera, The Commander , Security Forces (East) initiated to promote Organic fertilizer amongst farmers in the Eastern Theatre with the assistance of Agriculture Department. Several sessions were organized in Polonnaruwa on16th September and in Ampara and Batticaloa on17th September to educate farmers in the area, the success of the "Usage of Organic fertilizer" with demonstrations and Expert Comments with the assistance of the Agriculture Department, Eastern Province.

18th Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Located in Batticaloa Under 231 Bde of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area, provided Bricks for the construction of a building of the Paththarama Temple at Sinnawaththa ,Wellaweli on 19 Sep 2013.

232 Brigade located in Tharavikulam under 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area, Organized Distribution of school amenities containing Books, School bags ,Shoes ,Umbrellas and Water bottles amongst 33 x students of Kudumbimalai Kumaran School with the sponsorship of "Peoples church assembly of god Movement" on 18 th Sep 2013.
