Security Forces Headquarters (East) Celebrate the 10th Anniversary at Welikanda on 31st October 2013.Initially a Guard turn out and a Guard of Honour was awarded to the Major General SAAL Perere RWP RSP USP ndu IG, the Commander Security Forces (East) followed by an All Ranks Lunch and a Troops Address of the Commander Security Forces (East) in the evening hours. A Mammoth Musical Evening was organized at Night at the Security Forces Headquarters (East) Play Ground performed by several Ranaviru Real Stars backed by Army Beat Group.

27th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Ichchalanpattu under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Force (East) area, Conducted a Shramadana Campaign to Clear the Surroundings of "T/MU/Muththuchenai Tamil Mix School" in Trincomalee with the participation of Students, parents and teachers on 06th November 2013.

22nd Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Located in Kallar under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area Conducted a Two Days Lecture program in subjects of Mathematics and Science with the assistance of Peoples Bank, Serunuwara, for Students of Serunuwara in Kanthale area, who are sitting for the GCE (O/L) Examination this Year at "Soomadawe School" in Serunuwara, from 0830hrs To 1600hrs on 09th and 10th of November 2013.

22nd Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Located in Kallar under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area conducted a Blood Donation Programme at "Bathiyagama Sri Meththarama Temple" in Kanthale on 09th November 2013. More than 150 Personnel consist of Soldiers and civilians in the area participated for th Programme.

27th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Ichalampathu under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) Organized a "Shramadhana Campaign" to clear the surrounding of Sri Sithe Vinayagar Sami Kovil of Ichalampathu from 0830hrs to 1600hrs on 13th Nov 2013.

Security Forces Headquarters (East) conducted a Tree planting ceremony along with the "Dayata Sevana" National Tree Planting Programme 2013 at Army Farm in Kandakadu on 15th November 2013. Major General SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG, Commander Security Forces (East), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. 5000 x Cashew Plants were planted at the ceremony with the participation of Civilians, Students and Teachers in the area along with Army Officials.

"Dayata Sevana" National Tree Planting Programme 2013 was organized at The Welikanda School on 15th November 2013 by Security Forces Headquarters (East) with the participation of Government Officials, Civilians, Students and Teachers in the area along with Army Officials. More than 1000 x Plants were planted and a Lecture was conducted on the topic of "The Importance of the Environment" at the ceremony.

15th Sri Lanka Light Infantry located in Soorangal under 224 Brigade of 22 Div in Security Force (East) area, conducted a shramadana campaign to clear the roadsides in the access of Thissapura Aggrabodhi Temple from 0900 hours to 1130 hours on 14.11.2013

5th Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment and 15th Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment located in Thopur under 224 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area conducted lecture program in subjects of Mathematics and Science with the assistance of Sith Sevana Sahayogitha Sansadaya, for 200 x students of cover of the 13 school’s in Muttur area, who are sitting for the GCE (O/L) Examination this year at "Alhidiya Muslim School" in Muttur, from 0830 hrs to 1500 hrs on 18th November 2013 & Mollipathana Sinhala School from 0830 hrs to 1615 hrs on 19th November 2013.
