18th Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment located in kalawanchikudi under 231 Bde of 23 Division in Security Forces (East), Organized a cricket tournament with an aim to Built up the Relationship with Sports Clubs in the area, in Kirankulam school play ground in kaththankudi on 16 May 2013. Kurukalmattam Sport Club, Kirankulam Sport Club and 18 SR Cricket Team participate for the Subjected friendly cricket tournament.

With an aim to Improve the Nutrition Standard of Students ,3rd Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, 16 Sri Lanka National Guard and 28 Sri Lanka National Guard deployed under 631 Brigade of Task Force 3 in Security Forces (East), organized a distribution of 268 Milk Powder Packets for students of "Kalmunai Sinhala School" in Kalmunai , " AM/Senagama School" in Uhana and Deegavapiya Aberathna Pre School in Addalachchena on 20th May 2013 with the financial assistance of Foundation of Goodness.
