With an aim to reduce the Human Elephant Conflict ,22nd Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment deployed under 222 Brigade of 22 Div in Security Forces (East), organized a awareness program for Villagers of Suriyapura ,Samagipura, Samanalapalama, Kawanthissapura, Somawathiya Nawa Gammanaya in Somapura Sinhala School with the assistance of Deputy Divisional Forest Officer - Kanthale of on 30th May 2013 .

Sri Lanka Army coordinate the constuction of 28 new houses at "Seedanaveli" GN Division in Sampoor, as the Second stage of "Sampoor" Housing Project, International Indian Filming Academy and Habitat Huminity in Sri Lanka provided Financial Assistance as well as Troops of 22 Division under Security Forces (East) provided the labor assistance for the whole project.

Organized Vesak Zone Comprised with Vesak Lantern Exhibition & Competition, Dansala Programme for the Vesak Day Celebration in Hindu College Ground Batticaloa from 24th May 2013 to 26th May 2013 . The Opening Ceremony was Grace by Mrs Charles District Secretary and District agent of Batticaloa and Mr. K kobindarajab vice Chancellor of the Eastern University , with the Blessing of all Religious Leaders in Batticaloa.

18th Sinha Regiment Located in Batticalo Under 231 Bde of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area, Organized a Shramadhana Campaign with the participation of Civilians, to Clear the area of Kaludaweli Hospital in Batticalo On 02 June 2013.

8th Gemunu Watch located under 231 Bde of 23 Division in Security Forces (East),repaired "Pre School & Handy Craft Building" at Ambalanthurai village which was Damaged due to the recent Cyclone with the Assistance of The Divisional Sectary Paddipolei On 31st May 2013.
