Community Leaders in Akkaraipattu and Valachchenai area visited Security Forces Headquarters (East) to have a discussion with Major General Lal Perera ,The Commander Security Forces (East) on 6th May 2014 with an aim to discuss and obtain solutions for Day to day Issues they Come across in their area. After a friendly bilateral Discussion with the commander they were very much happy as they have received solutions for issues they faced. Several Army Officials also attend for the Discussion with the commander.

Tamil Community Leaders Representing General Public in Thirikkovil area along with Reverend AmparaSanthindriyaThero Visited Security Forces Headquarters (East) Welikanda for a courtesy call and a discussion with Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG, The Commander Security Forces (East) on 6th May 2014with an aim to get viable solutions for problems they faced in their area. After a friendly Discussion with the commander they have received solutions for problems they have and they were delighted to have such a Meeting with the Commander Security Forces (East).

222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area conducted a Blood Donation Programme at Jayanthigama School in Polonnaruwa on 04th February 2014. More than 200 personnel consist of soldiers and civilians in the area participated for the programme and they were provided buns and milk at the end.

We have planned to conduct the series of lectures for the Military personnel in this AOR under the SFHQ(East) to make them aware of how to practice the good hygiene attitudes to prevent the diseases and to give them some knowledge and importance of diseases which are common to the Military troops. Under this program the Commanding officer of the 5th Regiment of the SLAMC Major(Dr) SAAK Peiris and medical team delivered the inauguration lecture of the said series of lectures program to troops attached to the units under the FMA(East) on 3rd and 4th of this month at 3ESR lecture hall.

With an aim to Uplift the education slandered in the Eastern Province, Under the guidance of Major General Lal Perera, the Commander, Security Force (East), 221 Brigade located in Trincomalee, Organized a Donation of Computers to Computer Lab of Mihindupura Vidiyalaya in Trincomalee with the sponsorship under the "Nawa Arunalu" programme conducted by the faculty of Graduate Studies of the University of Sri Jayawardhanapura (MBA, MPM & MSC - 2012 Batch) at a function on 15th February 2014, at premises of Mihindupura Vidiyalaya in Trincomalee .

232 Brigade located in Tharavikulam under 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area, organized a programme of distribution of musical instruments worth of Rs. 43,900.00 and books worth of Rs. 39,910.00 for the library of Pothdukachchena Ganapathi Vidyalaya with the assistance of ESCO institute. on 10th February 2014.

241 Brigade of 24 Division in Security Forces (East) organized the National Day celebrations under the patronage of Goc 24 Div at Sri Vijayaramaya Temple in Akkareipattuwa. Buddhist monks, Civil Dignitaries and students of the area participated for the occasion.

3rd Sri Lanka Army Womens Corps located in Sandunpura under 232 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area, organized a Shramadhana campaign at "Rankethgama Pre School" in Dimbulagala on 10th Feb 2014.

3rd Regiment Sri Lanka National Guard located in Vakarei under 233 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East), area organized a programme of giving driving license for 27 unemployed youth of Kadiraweli. 06 x 20 of Army personnel and 60 civilians participated for the occasion held on 07th February 2014 and the Chief Guests were 233 Brigade Commander and a regional agent of World Vision.

15th Sri Lanka Light Infantry located in Soorangal under 224 Brigade of 22 Div in Security Force (East) area, conducted an awareness programme on Child Abuse at Vingyanagar Maha Vidyalaya on 03rd February 2014.
