During the interactions, the Commander highlighted the value of the information provided by the general public with full confidence on the security forces to apprehend the suspicious elements to bring security of the region to normalcy.

Fulfilling a long-felt requirement at the Security Force Headquarters (East), Lieutenant General N U M M W Senanayake RWP RSP VSV USP USACGSC, the Commander of the Army declared open the new two-storied other ranks accommodation block on Sunday 31st March 2019. The Building was constructed within a very short period by the troops of Engineer Services Regiment headed by Captain V H G N R Janasinghe CES, the Garrison Engineer, Welikanda under the guidance of Major General K P A Jayasekera WWV RSP USP ndc psc, the Commander Security Forces (East) and with the close supervision of Brigadier M R Wanniarachchi ato, Brigadier Admin & Quartering SF HQ(East).

A religious ceremony to unveil the standing Buddha statue in Sri Abhinavarama Viharaya, Pansalagala, Kewiliyamadu in Batticaloa, was held under the patronage of Major General K P A Jayasekera WWV RSP USP ndc psc, the Commander Security Force (East), on Sunday (17). The event was held in line with the series of religious events organized in the Security Force (East) area during ‘Tripitakabhivandana’ week that has been declared from 16 to 23 March, to mark the declaration of the Theravada Tripitaka, the sacred scripture of Buddhists, as a World Heritage.

The Security Force Headquarters (East) in partnership with Army School of Logistics conducts the first Exercise Master Logger at the Security Force Headquarters (East).
