  • A KIND HAND BY SLE SEVA VANITHA BRANCH TO MR S A KUMARASIRI

    The construction of a bathroom for a deserving army civil servant, Mr. SA Kumarasiri of 9 Field Engineer Regiment commenced on 25 May 2026 as a welfare initiative of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch (SLE SVB), considering the difficult living conditions faced by his family. The assistance was mainly provided due to the medical condition of his wife, who is suffering from severe spinal problems, making the use of the existing sanitary facilities extremely difficult.

    The Regimental Centre of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers has played host to a significant milestone in bilateral military relations on 24 May 2026, conducting a formal appreciation ceremony to honor the invited Indian Army Engineers Task Force Team. The event highlighted the deep-rooted professional respect and technical cooperation that continues to define the relationship between the engineering divisions of the two neighboring nations, especially during the resilience against the cyclone “Ditwah” during the year 2025.

  • SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE NARCOTIC DETECTION DOG HANDLER BASIC COURSE 01 (2025/01) AT THE 14 CBRNE RESPONSE REGIMENT

    The 14 CBRNE Response Regiment successfully conducted the Narcotic Detection Dog Handler Basic Course 01 (2025/01) under the concept and vision of the Commander of the Army, and under the guidance of the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and the Chief Field Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army. This marked the first occasion such a specialized course was organized by the regiment, representing a significant milestone in enhancing its specialized operational capabilities.

  • COLONEL COMMANDANT PINS INSIGNIAS ON NEWLY PROMOTED SENIOR OFFICER

    In a formal ceremony held at the Regimental Headquarters of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, the Chief Field Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General C D Wickramanayake WV RSP ndc, officially pinned the rank insignias on a newly promoted Senior Officer of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.

    A coordination conference on subject matter expert exchange – Exercise Atlas Angle II was held on 28 April 2026 at Office of Chief Field Engineer with CFE and the US Air Force Officials, United States Government delegation consist of representatives from United States Indo Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), The Montana National Guard (MTNG) and the US Embassy of Sri Lanka.
