In a dedicated effort to prioritize the health and well-being of personnel, the 1 Field Engineer Regiment organized a comprehensive Cancer Awareness Programme on 21 February 2026 in Lt Gen Angammana Memorial Auditorium. As a flagship Seva Vanitha Project, the initiative sought to empower the military community with knowledge that can lead to early detection and prevention.

In line with welcoming the New Year 2026, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers organized a dry ration packs donation programme for civil servants on Tuesday, 30 December 2025 at the Regimental Centre SLE as part of its ongoing welfare initiatives.
On 23 November 2024, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers organized a heartwarming book donation program at the Regimental Centre in Panagoda under the guidance of the SVB President, Mrs. Lilanthi Dolage. The initiative supported 78 children of serving soldiers, providing them with essential educational materials.
The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers conducted a welfare programme on 16 November 2025, donating essential items to the Sathuta Children’s Home in Saliyapura as part of its continuous community-support initiatives.
The Quarterly Meeting of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers was successfully held on Saturday, 25th October 2025, at the Regimental Centre, Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers. The session was graciously presided over by Mrs. Lilanthi Dolage, President of the SLE Seva Vanitha Branch.
The 8 Field Engineer Regiment successfully organized the “මාතෘ අභිමන” Seva Vanitha Community Support and Development Programme in collaboration with Forever Skin Natural (Pvt) Ltd, as a Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch initiative on 8 October 2025 at Boo Oya, Vavuniya. This was conducted parallel to the 29th Anniversary of unit, under the leadership of Lt Col Asanka Hidallaarachchi, Commanding Officer of 8 SLE.
In line with World Children’s Day, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers organized a special programme at the ‘Suwasetha’ Child Development Centre in Kosgama on Saturday, 04 October 2025.
In yet another magnanimous gesture of care and compassion, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers proudly unveiled a newly constructed house for a deserving Civil Servant of the Corps, further exemplifying its noble commitment to uplifting the lives of those who render invaluable support behind the scenes.
