The ‘Mihindu Seth Medura', is a healing home for war veterans who were disabled during the battle. It is also a 'Home Away Home' for the gravely disabled heroes with restricted movements requiring continuous care, attention and assistance.

Mrs Mihiri Herath assumed office as the 14th President of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch during a charming ceremony held at the Headquarters Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers on 29 December 2021. On her arrival at the Corps Headquarters the new chairperson was warmly welcomed by the senior members of the Seva Vanitha Branch.
The Annual General Meeting of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers was held on 21 December 2021 at the Convention Centre, Mattegoda. The meeting was presided by the President Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Shiromi Amarasekara.
Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers organized a book donation programme to the children of engineer serving soldiers who have bravely fought to achieve the eternal peace to the motherland through the violent war which the country suffered for 3 consecutive decades.
The event of book donation was organized for 251 children of serving soldiers at the Convention Centre - Mattegoda on 12th December 2021 with the participation of a cross section of selected children along with their parents.
In line with the 70th anniversary of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, the President of Seva Vanitha Branch - Sri Lanka Engineers (SVB-SLE) together with Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and the Chief Field Engineer Major General Nihal Amarasekara USP ndu declared re-opened the newly refurbished emergency treatment building of the Ranaviru Sewana - Ragama on 13 November 2021.
The newly renovated house donated to Corporal (Deceased) Nandan’s family on 08 November 2021 at Kuruwita area. The house was constructed under the close supervision of Mrs Shiromi Amarasekara, the president of Seva Vanitha Branch, Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.
Another timely important donation coordinated by Seva Vanitha Branch - Sri Lanka Engineers (SVB - SLE) affiliated with Rotaract club of CINEC Campus. The generous donation powered by Rotaract club of CINEC Campus headed by Mr Kavinda Sankalpa, Assistant community service director and coordinator of Sip Saviya project, Mr Minura Amarasekara and all the members. The event closely supervised and assisted by Mrs Shiromi Amarasekara, the president of SVB - SLE.
Step forwarding to enhance the welfare of civil staff of the Corps, Seva Vanitha Branch - Sri Lanka Engineers (SVB - SLE) has organized a valuable donation on 11 October 2021 at Convention Centre - Mattegoda. 103 of civil staff were participated for the event, representing Engineer Headquarters and Regiments established around Colombo area.
