The Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers hosted a glamourous ceremony on 30 April 2024, to recognise and honour, 56 Officers and 87 Other Ranks who successfully completed skill developing courses, including Officers’ BIEDD Course 1/2024, BIEDD Course No. 07 (ORs), Officers’ CBRN Course 1/2024, Officers' Humanitarian Demining Management Course 1/2024, and Humanitarian Demining Basic Course No 44 (ORs).

The service provided by civilian staff was appreciated at the Regimental Centre, Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, during the dawn of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year 2024. In appreciation of their unparalleled service, each civilian servant was gifted a monetary gift worth Rs 10,000.00. The Commandant Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General M K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, along with Mrs. Shammi Jayawardena, the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch SLE, distributed gifts among the 13 civilian servants working under the Regimental Centre in a simple gathering held on 5 April 2024, at the Regimental Centre.
