The Military College of Engineering, Pakistan, recognized Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Director General Financial Management, and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, over 507 international students from 29 countries, as it’s one of the significant alumnus who followed the Young Officers Engineering Course back in 1997.

The Chief Field Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General P P A Perera Hdmc psc made his maiden official visit to the 9 Field Engineer Regiment on 31 May 2024. Upon arrival, the newly appointed Chief Field Engineer was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer of the 9 Field Engineer Regiment, Major B D J Rangajeewa USP psc SLE by extending a gracious welcome on behalf of all ranks of the regiment.
